Eric is the global head of pension and fiduciary solutions within Manulife Investment Management’s asset allocation team, which is responsible for the development and growth of the company’s asset allocation solutions for individual and institutional investors in the United States, Canada, and Asia. These solutions include target risk and target date, as well as a wide array of strategic, tactical, absolute return multi-asset class portfolios, and highly customized corporate pension plans. Eric leads a team responsible for the portfolio management of Manulife’s U.S. and Canadian employee pension plans, U.S. health and welfare plans, and third-Party DB advisory and fiduciary management solutions. This includes the development and management for the firm’s outsourced chief investment officer (OCIO) business in Canada as well as day-to-day oversight of the team’s model portfolio and customized solutions business. Previously, Eric was director of trading for John Hancock Financial Network, a retail broker-dealer for Manulife Financial. In that role, he was responsible for managing a team of traders and brokerage representatives handling over US$10 million in daily trading volume for equity, fixed-income, and mutual fund transactions. Eric holds the Certified Financial Analyst, Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, and Accredited Investment Fiduciary designations, and is a member of the CFA Society Boston and the CFA Institute.
